Organic semiconductors for OPVs / OPDs

Developing simple and synthetically accessible (photo)active compounds for organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells.

The fabrication of current OPV materials involves complex and costly syntheses, which limits their scalability. Consequently, by designing materials that are easy and economical to synthesize, the group aims at facilitating the large-scale production of OPVs to meet the growing demand for renewable energy sources making this technology a viable, large-scale alternative to fossil fuels in the global energy landscape.
