Exploration of new p-conjugated platforms and materials

A core pillar of KEMTRONIX is the research in sustainable organic synthesis, especially in creating novel conjugated platforms and materials with applications in electronics, photonics and renewable energy.

The focus is to develop eco-friendly reaction methodologies powered by advanced technologies. This enables precise reaction control and reduction of the environmental impact through effective waste management and recyclability.

Group members utilise modern synthetic approaches such as green catalysis, solvent-free reactions, etc. to efficiently generate advanced molecular structures that are usually synthetically accessible and cost-effective, these two criteria being often described as a requirement for potential commercialisation.

Special emphasis is placed on controlling the structure-property relationship to finely tune the optoelectronic, photophysical, charge transport and self-assembly properties of target compounds to address specific applications.
